Kitchen Favela was one of the facilities that was built in the "The Kibbutz" project ("Empty House" group)

In an abandoned, open space in Jerusalem. 

 

The kitchen was created on the remains of an old chicken coop, made out of the junk that was spread throughout the area. In the center of the kitchen I built an oven made out of mud.

During a week-long event the kitchen worked frequently, cooking for hundreds of people, and the visitors were invited to take part in the making of the food.
